Who is eligible to participate in the Harvard Global Partner Summer Program?
The program is open to students enrolled at one of Harvard Summer School’s official Global Partner universities. Students must be nominated or approved by their home institution and meet Harvard’s enrollment requirements.
How do I apply through my home university or institution?
Applications are coordinated through your home university. If your institution has a partnership with Harvard’s DCE Global Office, please contact your study abroad office or designated program coordinator, who will provide details on nomination, required documents, and the application process.
What academic programs or courses are available to Global Partner Summer Students?
Global Partner Students can enroll in a wide range of courses, including liberal arts, sciences, social sciences, business, and pre-professional studies. Courses are taught by Harvard faculty and affiliates. Please visit our Summer 2025 course catalog for a list of courses. 2026 courses to be published in January.
Will I earn Harvard credits, and are they transferable to my home institution?
Yes. Students can request an official Harvard transcript. Transfer of credits is subject to approval by your home institution.
Is on-campus housing available for Global Partner Summer Students?
On-campus housing is recommended but not mandatory for Global Partner Students. Please refer to the Harvard Summer School Housing Application page for more information.
Are there orientation programs or events specifically for Global Partner Summer Students?
Yes. There are pre-departure orientation sessions held by Harvard DCE Global staff to introduce students to Harvard policies, campus resources, and community life. Once on campus, Global Partner students are invited to exclusive networking events with other students, faculty, and DCE staff.
