This week, Harvard’s Division of Continuing Education (DCE) proudly hosted a distinguished delegation from Audencia Business School, one of France’s premier business schools, in a visit that highlighted the growing partnership between the two schools and their shared commitment to global education.
The visit brought together senior leaders and administrators from Audencia, along with representatives from nearly a dozen French media outlets, underscoring the international significance of the collaboration. The day’s events focused on strengthening academic ties, expanding cross-border opportunities, and showcasing DCE’s role as a hub for global engagement.
“This partnership means so much to us at Audencia,” said Guillaume Blaess, co-director of International Partnerships for Audencia. Blaess highlighted how the students from Audencia who come to Harvard are among the best in their cohort and are supported through scholarships during the visit. “We believe that access to this kind of transformative experience should be based on merit and talent.”
DCE Global Executive Director Tom Garriepy delivered a featured presentation emphasizing the critical importance of international collaboration in higher education. “In today’s interconnected world, academic institutions have a responsibility to prepare students for global leadership,” Garriepy said. “Partnerships like this are not just beneficial — they are essential.”
The delegation was formally welcomed by DCE Dean Nancy Coleman, who hosted a comprehensive campus tour followed by a luncheon at the Faculty Club. The visit offered guests a firsthand look at DCE’s academic environment, campus, and commitment to preparing students to lead in a global marketplace.
“This partnership represents a shared vision of excellence and innovation,” Dean Coleman said. “We are honored to welcome our colleagues from Audencia and excited about the opportunities this collaboration creates for our students and faculty.”
The event marks a significant milestone in the evolving relationship between DCE and Audencia Business School. As part of this partnership, 13 students from Audencia will join other students on campus this summer to participate in immersive courses and pursue a graduate certificate from Harvard Extension School, further deepening academic and cultural exchange between the two institutions.
